Meet Carlos Barreras, Founder of ALTEALEX
ALTEALEX was founded in 1979 by Carlos Barreras, and it remains the longest established law firm in Altea. For more than four decades he has advised foreign buyers, owners and heirs on the legal side of owning property on the Costa Blanca — from the first purchase contract through to succession.
Our clients are, for the most part, people who are not yet in Spain: they are planning a purchase, dealing with an inheritance or sorting out their tax position from abroad. That is why we work in English, explain the Spanish system in plain terms, and can act on your behalf under power of attorney so that you do not have to travel.
We are independent. We do not act for the seller, the developer or the estate agent — only for you.
